Delivery Drivers
Our professional drivers are required to have a current class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker and hazmat endorsements and health card. Maneuvering a commercial oil truck around local roads in all types of weather and traffic can be challenging. Our 5 drivers are among the best and have a combined 130 years driving commercial vehicles.
Bill West
Bill is a co-owner and general manager of Rockingham Oil. With over 20 years of experience in management, as well as years of distinguished military service, Bill has a firm sense of community involvement. Bill believes you should never ask someone to do something you wouldn’t do yourself, so you may recognize him as one of the people delivering your oil. During the busiest times of the season, you’ll see him driving around town in a delivery truck, helping to keep you warm.
Bob Knapp
Bob is a co-owner of Rockingham Oil as well as our Service Manager. Bob has over 35 years of experience as a burner technician and has worked closely with many of the leading companies in the home heating industry. Because of this, he’s established a reputation as the go-to man for the most difficult of warranty repairs. To this day, he believes in establishing a close relationship with our customers with his superior level of service.
Deb West
Deb is our office manager, but she’s also much more than that. You may recognize her voice as the woman who answers most of your phone calls for delivery and service. In actuality, she is the central nervous system of Rockingham Oil. With care and skill, she takes calls, dispatches work, tracks our customer accounts, and when she has time, spoils us with cookies. Also, she is the tie that binds the Rockingham Oil Family together as she is the wife of Bill, sister of Bob, and mother of Jason. The next time you call, the smile you hear on the other end is most likely her.
Jacqui
Our newest family team member. Jacqui is Deb’s office assistant. She handles the phone calls and orders as well as account data entry. Deb is teaching her all the roles so please be patient. Jacqui spends a lot of her off time enjoying her grandson. Jacqui is the sister to Bob and Deb, and the wife of our driver Ralph.
Jason West
Jason has transitioned to the office due to a foot injury. Although he no longer is climbing in and out of the truck he assists customers on the phone , taking orders and scheduling service work. Jason prides himself on customer service. When he’s not working to keep our customer’s happy, he spends his time raising money for the Boston Children’s Hospital and trying to keep up with a very active daughter.
Ralph
Ralph although no longer the newest of our drivers and has proven himself to be a good asset. Ralph usually does the Londonderry, Windham, and Chester oil routes. During the summer months Ralph works on truck maintenance. The winter months are pretty rough on equipment exteriors and Ralph works hard to get the trucks back into great condition by sanding, grinding, painting, and washing the fleet. When not at work Ralph enjoys spending time with his 6-year-old grandson. We hear that Cowabunga’s seems to be a favorite playtime place.
Sven
Sven sometimes drives for us during the winter months and keeps his skills sharp driving for a local excavating company or road repair company during the summer months. Sven has worked in the delivery field for many years delivering items like bread, sand & gravel, and oil. Sven usually does the Derry or Londonderry oil route. A motorcycle enthusiast, when not with us, Sven enjoys time with his family.
Charlie
Charlie, Bob’s son, and a new Dad himself, is a hard worker with great attention to detail and customer service. He began his career a few years ago in the oil heating service industry. Through on the job training working with Bob, he has become very familiar and proficient with the products we install and service. Customers greatly appreciate his positive attitude and the care he takes to keep things clean when working in their home.
Tim
Tim is an exceptional driver responsible for delivering oil to Pelham, Salem, Atkinson, and occasionally Windham. Additionally, he serves as our reliable after-hours emergency oil delivery specialist, ensuring assistance reaches customers in any town we cater to. Tim embodies the qualities of a gentle giant, consistently displaying a friendly demeanor and a genuine willingness to aid our valued clientele. Prior to joining our team, he honed his driving skills as a beverage delivery truck operator in the Portsmouth region. Outside of work, Tim often frequents Midgard Hobbies and Games, a popular destination in Derry.
Scott
Scott became a valuable addition to our team during the 2022-2023 season. His primary delivery route encompasses Londonderry, Windham, and Derry, where he ensures prompt deliveries three days a week. With extensive experience in the oil delivery industry, Scott previously worked as a driver for another company, honing his skills over the years. Known for his friendly demeanor and strong work ethic, Scott warmly welcomes interactions with our esteemed customers and consistently goes the extra mile to provide exceptional service.
